It’s that time of the year again! It’s the first week of the new year! Have you considered a New Year’s Resolution for 2015? If so, you’re part of the 45% of us who have. Statisicsbrain.com says that only 8% actually succeed at completing their “Resolution”. I know, you’re asking yourself, “how are the 8% doing that?!” Well, take a look at these S.M.A.R.T. strategies:
S – Be specific. If your goal is to lose weight, determine how much weight you want to lose. For example, I want to lose 50 pounds by December 31st, 2015.
M – Must be measurable. Okay, so you want to lose 50 pounds by 12 months. That’s 4.1 pounds per month, or .96 pounds a week. Find a weight management program that will help you measure your results. TLS Weight Management program I found to be the best.
A – Keep it achievable. If you’re a larger person like me, 50 pounds would be achievable. Losing 1 pound a week is achievable.
R – Be sure that it’s realistic. If 50 pounds is too hefty of a goal, just reduce the number
T – Timely. Set a deadline (December 31st, 2015)
Remember, to always measure, monitor, and adjust as you are achieving your SMART 2015 New Year’s Resolution goal!
Cheers to your success!
